Dr Zipf had a little fishing cabin in the glade just north of Cave Springs across two little creeks and a steep canyon. He had a nice driveway and place to park right next to his little house. Then the freeway came along and his driveway disappeared, replaced by 32 concrete steps that were quickly overgrown with pine and cedar trees, and presto, his house became a hideaway. We have built a gentle trail leading from the street side parking lot, and also connecting to the Cave Springs swimming pool. It is still well hidden but since our cabins start with number two, we call Dr. Ziph’s house Cabin One.
Cabin One has a bedroom with a Queen Bed and a fold down couch for a Double Bed in the living room. The bathroom has a bathtub with a shower arrangement. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots and pans and flatware, and there is an exchangeable bottle of wine on the dining table (see note in photos). It has an electric fireplace and other space heaters for winter, and a window A/C for summer. Blazing fast internet and a cable TV w/DVD. Bedding and towels of course. Pool and Spa are at Cave Springs, just a few dozen yards away at the other end of the trail.
Pets are OK. $20 minimum, or $6 per night.
