Our 3BR, 3.5BA home (sleeps 8) is truly a crown jewel in Borrego Springs: enjoy impressive desert views from the private pool, or relax in 3 bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom. Located amidst 600,000 acres of state park land brimming with desert beauty and right on the championship de Anza golf course.
INSIDE THE HOME
Our Southwestern-style villa wows with ornate tile, expansive windows and 16-foot ceilings inside. Enter though the 200-year old Peruvian front doors into the living area, where your group can relax around the corner fireplace and flat-screen TV on plush seating. Walls of windows let in incredible views of the desert mountains.
The spacious kitchen comes fully-equipped with a dishwasher, stove, fridge, microwave, large island and all cooking essentials. When dinner is ready, gather around the adjacent dining table for 6.
In the master bedroom, beams above and desert views outside frame the king-size bed.
Open the doors and go past the courtyard fountain to the 2 guest casitas. These two separate outbuildings next to the pool area both feature queen-size beds, futons, and en-suite bathrooms - the perfect private set-up for multiple families or couples traveling together.
Don't forget to reserve time to enjoy the gorgeous outdoor space. This impeccable space has a private pool and hot tub surrounded by native cacti and expansive blue skies under the desert mountains. The one-of-a-kind courtyard includes a gas grill and outdoor seating, perfect for a sunset BBQ. The pool has been remodeled this summer making it a "play pool" complete with a Baja shelf.
End the day stargazing from your desert retreat - the stars are incredible out here, thanks to the Borrego Springs International Dark Sky designation.
Your total includes all necessary utility fees during the summer months and pool heating during the winter months.

Completely enveloped by Anza-Borrego State Park land, de Anza Country Club and its condo and villa residences are a peaceful desert escape 90 minutes from San Diego and 60 minutes from Palm Springs. Amazing oasis
Stayed for 4 days in January, 2018 The house was perfect for a family vacation. We were 3 children and 3 adults and were very comfortable. I would not recommend more then 6 people. The location was beautiful and the house was well equipped for everything. The courtyard, pool and spa area were very nice but we had trouble getting the pool warm enough for the adults to swim - kids had no issue. Overall, would definitely recommend for a holiday.GREGORY J G
Even better than it looks!
Stayed for 8 days in January, 2018 Generous - That's the best word to describe this property and its owners. The main house was laid out with a large central kitchen, luxurious master bedroom and expansive living room, the two casitas were spacious, the inner court yard was like something out of a Spanish hacienda, and the pool area was everything you could hope for. The views of the desert were breathtaking from several perspectives including the pool area. The photos are well-done, but they still don?t do the property justice. But the little things: the fully-stocked kitchen; the two quite decent bikes; the outdoor pillows everywhere; the beautiful plants (with automatic drip watering) throughout the outside space; plenty of chairs, inside and out, both for dining and for lounging; plenty of towels, including for kitchen and pool. Many rental homes emphasize the ?rental? part: the focus is on making money with minimal cost. This property emphasizes the ?home? part: it is clearly someone?s home away from home, with all the extras that implies. We wanted for nothing.This sort of generosity (and trust) makes you want to reciprocate, and we were happy to leave the home better than when we arrived (replaced some light bulbs, restocked kleenex, etc.).Some of the praise should probably go to Turnkey, who no doubt are responsible for at least some of the abundance: lots of toilet paper, kleenex, paper towels, bathroom soap and shampoo, and they are definitely rental managers to look for in any property. Turnkey was also a pleasure in dealing with the one problem we had: the propane tank ran out towards the end of our trip, leaving us without heat for the pool and spa, no stove top and no hot water for the casitas (the main house uses an electric water heater). Turnkey was quick to assist with the problem and has already offered us a very fair credit for the inconvenience. Nothing?s perfect, but a week at the Desert Jewel is pretty close!Doug E

Stayed for 30 days in January, 2018 Absolutely delightful in all respects. Our fourth rental in the immediate area and by far the best (though we enjoyed all the others). The setting cannot be beaten; the design of the house, casitas, and the two courtyards is textbook and maximizes the many natural benefits of the site; and the owner has furnished and decorated the property with a sophisticated combination of great comfort and local style, with real quality evident throughout It is hard to think of even a quibble---the property is a joy to experience.As well, we were impressed by the rental agents, who were instantly accessible and happy (and quick) to help with the few small issues that came up.
